Advert description
I am a medical student at Imperial College London with over two years of experience tutoring GCSE students, as well as supporting medical school applicants with interview preparation. I am motivated to contribute to academic mentorship and gain further teaching experience within a supportive and structured context.
Through my previous tutoring roles, I have worked closely with students across a range of skillsets, personalising my teaching style to adapt to each student's needs. This involved emphasising communication and comprehension, engagement, and organised lesson preparation to ensure that students not only understood the material but were also able to apply it to exam-style questions while simultaneously developing strategic revision techniques, allowing my students to access grades 7, 8, and 9.
Additionally, my experiences in aiding medical school applicants with interview preparations have strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to explain complex ideas in a clear and digestible manner.
I have developed my subject knowledge by incorporating my academic foundations in GCSE English Language and Literature, separate sciences, Mathematics, French, and Geography, with a background in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics at A-level. My Extended Project Qualification focused on the science and ethics of cardiac xenotransplantation, expanding my independent research skills.
