Hi! I’m a PhD researcher at Imperial College London with over six years of experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students. I’ve helped more than 50 students improve their understanding, confidence and exam performance, with many going on to achieve grades 8–9 at GCSE.
My approach to teaching is simple: understanding Biology is only half the challenge. Achieving top marks requires students to apply their knowledge confidently, particularly when faced with unfamiliar exam questions.
That’s why my lessons focus on much more than memorising facts. I help students develop a genuine understanding of biological concepts, strengthen their problem-solving abilities and learn how to approach challenging exam questions independently.
Every lesson is tailored to the individual student. Whether you’re struggling with the fundamentals, hoping to improve your predicted grade or aiming for a grade 9, we’ll work together to identify areas for improvement and develop a clear plan for progress.
I teach GCSE Biology and Combined Science across AQA, Edexcel and OCR, covering both Foundation and Higher Tier. Lessons combine clear explanations, active recall, targeted practice questions and detailed exam technique, including understanding what examiners are looking for in mark schemes.
I also have experience supporting students with dyslexia, anxiety and low confidence. I aim to create a friendly, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing confidence in their abilities.
