Krish Sanghavi Sanghavi

Hello! I’m Krish, an experienced Maths and Science tutor and PhD researcher at Imperial College London.

I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Biomedical Science and an MSc in Immunology from Imperial College London, where I’m currently completing my PhD investigating the role of immune cells in asthma.

I’ve been tutoring since 2019 and have worked with over 50 students across KS3, GCSE and A-Level Maths and Science. During this time, I’ve helped students of different abilities build confidence, strengthen their understanding and improve their academic performance. Many of my GCSE students have gone on to achieve grades 8–9, while numerous A-Level students have achieved A and A* grades, going on to top universities such as Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial College London.

Having studied Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics at A-Level myself, I understand the challenges students face when preparing for demanding examinations.

My lessons are friendly, interactive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I typically begin by checking their understanding of a topic, identifying any misconceptions and explaining difficult concepts in a clear, accessible way. We then work through progressively more challenging questions, including exam-style problems that require students to apply their knowledge in unfamiliar situations.

I place particular emphasis on developing independent problem-solving skills. Rather than simply showing students how to arrive at the correct answer, I encourage them to explain their reasoning, recognise patterns and develop the confidence to tackle questions independently.

I regularly use exam questions, past papers, mark schemes and targeted practice to help students understand how to maximise their marks. I also adapt my teaching to different learning styles and have experience supporting students with dyslexia, anxiety and low confidence.

My lessons are delivered online, allowing students to learn from the comfort of their own homes. I aim to make every session engaging, productive and supportive, creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
