Fully qualified English and TEFL teacher - CELTA, PGCE and QTS - with lots of experience

I am a qualified English teacher with 14 years teaching experience overall, including more than 2.5 years teaching English as a Foreign Language in the UK and abroad. I hold a BA (Hons) degree in English, a PGCE, QTS, CELTA and an enhanced DBS (update service).

I have taught English to learners of all ages and levels in a variety of settings, including:

Business English for professionals – delivering lessons to company owners and employees, focusing on workplace communication, presentations, and professional writing. Some students included a NATO employee and a CEO. I also taught intensive courses over 2-5 days for the Spanish government and residential retreats in English for Vaughan Systems.

Universities – teaching international students at two universities abroad, as well as at University of the Arts London, with a focus on Academic English, general communication skills and cultural enrichment.

TA in a school – working in a bilingual primary school in Madrid, supporting lessons in English, science and art, in addition to delivering small group English tuition - preparing students for Trinity exams.

I tutored EFL to students of all abilities and ages (literally from age 4 to adults) for more than 3 years.

I have prepared students for Cambridge English exams (KET, PET, FCE, CAE), iGCSE English, and helped learners of all ages develop fluency and confidence in speaking, pronunciation, listening, reading, and writing.

My lessons are interactive, collaborative and tailored to individual goals. I have worked with children, teenagers, university students, and professionals, adapting my approach to different needs and learning styles. I am also experienced in supporting learners with ASD, ADHD, and dyslexia, ensuring that lessons are accessible and inclusive.
