My qualifications include a BA (Hons) in English from a Russell Group university, a PGCE, QTS, CELTA, and an enhanced DBS (update service). Alongside my classroom teaching, I have tutored for over eight years, helping students of all ages and abilities. This has included exam preparation, confidence building and SEN support.
I have extensive experience preparing students for OCR, AQA, Eduqas and iGCSE English exams. I am well-versed in a wide selection of texts across these specifications. I have also taught drama across all age ranges, supporting students with LAMDA exams and university/drama school auditions. At primary level, I have taught English, reading, science, history, SATs preparation, and the 11+.
As a TEFL teacher, I have worked with learners of all English levels, with their ages ranging from young children to professionals. My experience includes teaching Cambridge and Trinity English exam classes, Business English for adults, and Academic English at two international universities, as well as University of the Arts London. Additionally, I worked at a bilingual primary school in Spain, taught intensive courses over 2-5 days for the Spanish government and residential retreats in English for a leading Spanish company.
I adapt lessons to meet individual needs and have supported many learners with ASD, ADHD, and dyslexia. My teaching is student-centred, supportive, and focused on progress.
