I am a third-year Primary Education with QTS student with 20 weeks of school placement experience. My first 8-week placement involved observing experienced teachers and developing my understanding of classroom management, lesson planning and different teaching strategies. During my 12-week placement as a co-teacher, I gained hands-on experience delivering lessons, supporting individual pupils and working with small groups of different abilities. These experiences have strengthened my communication, patience, organisation and ability to adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs. My lessons will focus on making Maths engaging, enjoyable and easy to understand. I will assess each child’s current understanding, identify areas where they need support and tailor lessons to their learning pace. I aim to use clear explanations, practical activities and regular practice to build confidence, strengthen key mathematical skills and help pupils achieve their full potential.
