Experienced music theory, ear training, music history and classical composition tutor

I am a PhD candidate in music composition. In my own work I specialise in texture and orchestration alongside research into vocal music and vocal composition. I have been classroom teaching and tutoring music theory, musicianship (ear training) and music history for the last year and have loved helping students progress without judgement. I also enjoy providing tangible improvement markers so students are aware of their improvement

I have a flexible approach to teaching and as such am able to teach any ability up to and including undergraduate and graduate university students. I have been the teaching assistant for third year undergraduate music theory, musicianship and music history classes for the last year. So I have experience in both classroom teaching and regular one-on-one tutoring of students with varying abilities. I typically do 1 hour lessons but am flexible for differing needs.
