Drama and Performing Arts Teacher: West End Choreographer/Audition Specialist

Hi, I’m Elle.

I’m an experienced Drama and Performing Arts teacher specialising in helping young performers develop their confidence, performance skills and creative ability across acting, musical theatre, dance and audition preparation.

Over the past six years, I have worked with children and young people across a wide range of ages and abilities, teaching Drama, Musical Theatre, Singing and Dance. Alongside teaching, I have professional experience working in the performing arts industry, including working as a choreographer and director on children’s West End productions and creating and directing performances for young performers.

My teaching focuses on developing the performer as a whole. I work on acting technique, characterisation, vocal expression, movement, stage presence, confidence and performance skills, while ensuring that lessons remain engaging and enjoyable. I believe that young people perform at their best when they feel confident enough to take creative risks and express themselves without fear of getting something wrong.

I also have experience preparing students for auditions, drama scholarships and performance opportunities. Whether a student is preparing a monologue, musical theatre piece, drama school audition or school performance, I can help them understand how to approach the material, develop their character, make confident performance choices and present themselves professionally.

My experience working with young people in both educational and professional performing arts settings has also given me a strong understanding of how to adapt my teaching to different personalities, abilities and learning styles. Some students need support building their confidence, while others are ready to refine their technique and take their performance to the next level. I tailor each lesson to the individual performer and their goals.

I have taught students from primary age through to teenagers and have experience working in schools, performing arts academies, holiday programmes and professional performance environments. I have also worked with large groups of young performers, directing and choreographing productions and helping students work collaboratively towards a final performance.
