Advert description
I am a medical doctor in London with a BMBS, a BMedSci and an MSc in Medical Anthropology, and I regularly teach medical students as part of their undergraduate curriculum.
Getting into medical school
I have a 100% success rate getting students into medical school, and I have supported many applicants through the UCAT and the interview process. I received offers from Imperial, Southampton and Nottingham myself and scored in the top 5% of the UKCAT (now the UCAT). I can help with every stage: choosing universities, preparing for the UCAT, writing your personal statement, and practising for MMI and panel interviews. I will support you at each step to give you the best chance of a place at your first-choice university.
Succeeding at medical school
Medical school asks you to remember far more information than school did, and the revision methods that worked for A levels often stop working. I will set you up with the learning techniques you need for that volume of content. These are methods with strong evidence for long-term memory, including active recall, spaced repetition and interleaving, so that what you learn in first year is still there for finals and clinical practice. I also tutor medical students through their course, covering core science, clinical topics and exam preparation, to help each student do as well as they can.
