Advert description
I am a third-year Computer Science undergraduate student, who is currently on track for a 2.1 grade. In addition to this, I have completed both GCSE and A level maths, having received an 8 and a B respectively. I am offering online GCSE maths tuition for students looking to improve their skills and confidence with the subject.
As someone who has recently completed their GCSEs and A-Levels, I have a good understanding of the current curriculum, as well as the common roadblocks students may face when preparing for their GCSEs. In addition, my degree has given me a strong mathematical background and good problem-solving skills, giving me an excellent teaching foundation.
While I am new to professional tutoring, I do have some prior informal teaching experience, as I would regularly assist teachers with GCSE maths classes during my 6th form, as well as participating in an after-school club where I would help teach students GCSE maths. I am patient, approachable and committed to creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, so that they are able to understand not just the questions they have been given, but the underlying principles behind them.
I offer online lessons and have a highly flexible schedule; I am happy to support both GCSE and higher GCSE maths students. In addition, I offer a free introductory lesson to discuss goals and areas to focus on, as well as insuring my teaching style is a good fit for the student. After this lesson, additional lessons are available at £20 an hour.
