Chinese tutor teaches student of all years

I am a UCL graduate in Psychology and Language Sciences, with a strong academic background in language, communication, learning and cognition. I teach Chinese for beginners, school students, and learners who want to improve their speaking, pronunciation, reading or writing.

My lessons are clear, patient and personalised. I can help students build a strong foundation in Mandarin pronunciation, tones, vocabulary and grammar, while also explaining Chinese culture and everyday expressions in an easy-to-understand way. Because my degree included linguistics and psychology, I am especially good at explaining how language works, why learners make certain mistakes, and how to improve step by step.

I can support students with conversational Chinese, homework, exam preparation, reading comprehension, essay writing, and confidence in speaking. I aim to make lessons friendly, structured and practical, so students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.
