I prefer one to one, or maybe two to one. Always introducing myself and try to build up confidence on people I teach so they can express themselves better and not feel afraid or shy. To be able to create this environment, I will start with little games to get to know them, and I will asses their level of language so I can personalise each lesson depending on the level they are. I could use a word document where I will have some exercises and we can share the same document and do those exercise together.
