I specialise in teaching GCSE Spanish to secondary school students (ages 11 to 16) as well as adults of any age. My lessons are well-structured, supportive and tailored to each student’s level, school requirements and exam board (AQA or Edexcel). I focus on building both confidence and exam skills, helping students feel more comfortable using Spanish in speaking, writing, reading and listening.

Each lesson usually follows a clear format: we start with a short recap, introduce or practise a key topic (such as grammar or vocabulary), and then apply it through exam-style questions, speaking practice or written tasks. I regularly use past papers and GCSE-style exercises so students become familiar with exam techniques and marking criteria. Homework support and revision planning are also included where needed.

I am a patient, friendly and encouraging tutor, which helps students feel relaxed and motivated, especially those who may feel anxious about languages or exams. I adapt my teaching style to suit each learner, whether they need extra help with grammar, more speaking practice, or structured revision for exams.

Parents are always welcome to contact me to ask about their child’s progress. I am happy to stay in touch, answer questions and discuss areas for improvement, especially for teenage students who may need extra guidance, encouragement and clear structure during their GCSE years.

Lessons are available online or in person (at my home or the student’s home in Walton-on-Thames). My aim is to help students improve their grades, confidence and understanding of Spanish, while making lessons clear, engaging and effective.
