Affordable GCSE/A-level Maths & Science Tutor — Recent A-Level Student with Strong Grades

Hi, I’m Luke. I’m a recent A-level student with A* in Physics as well as A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, and strong GCSE results including a 9 in Maths and Biology, and 8s in Physics and Chemistry.

I tutor GCSE Maths and Science, with a focus on helping students understand difficult topics, improve exam technique, and build confidence with exam-style questions. Because I have recently completed GCSEs and A-levels myself, I understand how stressful exams can feel and how useful it is to have explanations that are clear, simple, and tailored to the student.

My lessons are adapted to each student’s needs. In the first lesson, I aim to identify their strengths and weaker areas, then create a clear plan for improvement. Lessons usually involve explaining key concepts step by step, working through example questions together, and then helping the student practise independently.

I focus on making sure students understand the method rather than just memorising answers. For GCSE Maths and Science, I can help with topic revision, past paper practice, mark scheme technique, and building confidence with harder questions.

My teaching style is patient, supportive, and focused. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, while also keeping lessons productive and exam-focused.
