English tutoring for Nursery and Key Stage 1 & 2 with a passionate ACCA-qualified tutor

Dear Hiring Manager, I am writing to express my interest in becoming a Tutor. I have always believed that education plays an important role in shaping a child's confidence, opportunities and future, and I would love the opportunity to make a positive difference in children's lives by supporting their learning and development. I am an ACCA-qualified professional with over 15 years of experience in accounting, finance and auditing. Throughout my career, I have enjoyed mentoring, coaching and training junior colleagues, helping them understand complex subjects, develop new skills and gain confidence in their abilities. These experiences have helped me develop patience, strong communication skills and the ability to explain information clearly and simply. Although my professional background is in finance rather than formal teaching, I have a genuine passion for education and helping others succeed. I particularly enjoy English, reading, literature, writing and mathematics, and I would welcome the opportunity to support primary school children in developing strong foundations in these subjects. What attracts me most to tutoring younger children is the opportunity to encourage their natural curiosity and help them discover the joy of learning. I understand that every child learns differently, and I believe in creating a supportive, patient and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing at their own pace. I would aim to make lessons engaging, enjoyable and appropriate to each child's age and abilities, using positive encouragement to build both their academic skills and self-confidence. I also appreciate the importance of communicating with parents, understanding their expectations and providing constructive feedback on their child's progress. For me, tutoring would be more than simply helping children complete homework or prepare for examinations. It would be an opportunity to inspire a love of learning, help children believe in themselves and contribute positively to their development during some of their most important formative years.
