Guitar lessons with an experienced musician for all levels, tailored to your favorite songs!

Hi, I'm Otto! I've been playing guitar for nine years and gigging for six, most recently as lead guitarist in Dogs on Smoke, a Bath band that won the University's Battle of the Bands and played the 2026 Summer Ball. My playing leans towards soul, neo-soul, jazz and soft rock, inspired by players like John Mayer and Tom Misch. I'm self-taught, so I know exactly where you're likely to get stuck and how to get past it. My aim isn't to make you sound like me. I want to teach you how to learn, so you can find your own taste and your own sound. How I work Every lesson is built around you: your level, your goals and the music you love. We'll cover the essentials, like chords, rhythm, strumming and fingerpicking, and get you playing real songs early. I make theory simple by showing it as patterns and numbers on the fretboard, so it clicks instead of feeling like rules to memorise. We'll break down songs you love to see what makes them work, and train your ear so you can hear what's going on. If you want to go further, I also teach jamming, songwriting, layering guitar parts and producing in Logic Pro. What you can expect Patience, clear explanations, honest feedback and lessons that are actually fun. Complete beginners are very welcome. I teach online or in person in London, in English or Thai.
