Experienced English tutor willing to teach students from 16 years and older (All abilities)

I have a bachelors degree in English Language and Literature and am currently studying a masters degree in Applied Linguistics. This theoretical knowledge combined with me 7 years of experience as a teacher across multiple countries and ages has gives me a strong understanding of the topic area, and I am always looking to improve. Language and linguistics is something I have always been interested in since I was a child, therefore I approach language learning from a linguistic point of view and a language learning point of view. This combination of approaches allows me to predict problems and find creative solutions that are tailored to the needs of the student.

I take a very humanistic approach to language, that is, I believe that by developing a rapport, reducing anxiety and fostering feelings of confidence we can create the perfect environment where learning will take place. I have noticed this with my previous one-to-one students: the more we get to know each other, and the more we feel comfortable talking, the easier it is to get to the core of what the student needs to learn and how they can go about doing it. It is a very rewarding experience for me. No student, no day and no lesson are the same. It is a constantly evolving challenge that keeps me in this profession.
