I am an experienced English teacher with over ten years’ experience teaching in China, Italy, France and the UK.

I spent four years teaching in China, working both in the classroom and online with learners of all ages, from young children to adults. This included teaching small and large groups, as well as adapting lessons to different learning styles and abilities. I have also worked in Italy and the UK, including supporting students with additional needs such as autism and dyslexia.

My approach is flexible and centred on the learner. I work at each student’s pace and adapt lessons to suit their individual needs. I pay close attention to each learner’s progress to ensure they are confident and ready before moving on to the next stage. In my experience, real progress comes when students feel comfortable and secure in their learning, rather than being pushed through content too quickly.

My teaching philosophy is strongly influenced by Maria Montessori, particularly the idea that learning should follow the learner. As she said:
“Follow the child.”

I believe this applies to all ages. There is little value in covering material quickly if only a small part is retained. For this reason, my focus is on helping students build solid skills step by step, so they can use English with confidence and, if they wish, later choose to prepare for exams from a stronger foundation.

As Confucius put it:
“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.”

I value communication with parents and am always happy to share feedback on their child’s progress.

This course is designed for learners who already have a basic knowledge of English and are ready to develop their reading, writing and speaking skills further.

Age: 14+  Level: A2+ (High Elementary → Low Intermediate)
This course is designed for learners who already have a basic level of English and want to build confidence in speaking and everyday communication.
