14 years of qualified language teaching

I have been teaching languages for over fourteen years with students of all ages all over the world in some of the most prestigious British academies, British International schools and online. With over twelve years of classroom experience, I've supported students to make great progress in GCSEs, IGCSEs and A Levels so I understand exactly what those exams require. And as a CELTA qualified English teacher, I also work with many students who are relocating and looking to improve their English, either for a new school or for a new job. My approach is student-centred - whatever your goals and whatever your starting point, I will help you get there.

If you're studying for exams at school, I'll help you get to grips with exactly what the exam requires and how best to demonstrate your skills. We'll break down each part of the exam so you know what to expect and how to approach each task confidently. We'll build up your vocabulary and grammar steadily, focusing on the topics and language that commonly appear in the exams. And we'll do plenty of exam practice and timed exercises so you get used to the pace and format of the real thing. You'll walk into your exam feeling confident and ready to succeed.

Of course, you may have different goals, so we'll talk it through carefully. It's important that I know exactly what you are trying to achieve and how I can support you all the way. Whether you want to focus on one skill or mix it up, I'll encourage you, guide you and give you a little push when it's needed to help you move forward.

My lessons are designed to be enjoyable and to help you build confidence. I use a range of interactive online tools and resources and I draw on my years of experience to adapt things to what works best for you.
