Teaching english as a foreign language to all ages

I have a degree in business management. I recently completed my TEFL certificate to teach English as a foreign language. I have spent the last 8 months in a Thai school teaching English where the students developed there English to a high standard. Have a lot of material already but am I able to teach specific topics depending on what the student would like. I can focus on improving overall speaking and looking at key points that I feel the student would use the most in a conversation. I can also look at the grammar and writing.
