Advert description
I am an undergraduate physicist who has been tutoring physics and maths to GCSE and SATs students for around a year. I am an experienced tutor, determined to help all students whether that be those studying A levels, GCSEs or SATs. Having studied maths, further maths and physics at A level, I believe I have the skills and knowledge needed to help any future STEM students to succeed in their studies.
Having also served as a physics student leader during my time at sixth form, I have held outreach events where I have tackled creating resources and teaching early A level physics topics to year 9 students. This has helped me understand the needs of students better to help them achieve their best.
My main goal is to be able to help the students I tutor understand the underlying mathematical concepts and theory of this subject rather than just helping them answer certain questions. Truly understanding the subject is the key to gaining the problem-solving skills needed to excel in all parts of a subject and do well in exams. These skills are also transferrable to other subjects and will be beneficial to the student’s overall academic performance.
I am very open to tutoring in a way that works best for the student. One teaching method doesn’t always work for everyone so I always tailor my lessons to best fit the student. I encourage them to ask me questions because this helps engage the student, increase their confidence and any mistakes or misunderstandings help them learn the subject better.
I am passionate about helping every student succeed and to help them achieve their goals.
