Maya

Currently, I have tutored both GCSE and SATs students, but I am also willing to tutor A level students since I studied further maths and am an undergraduate physicist at Durham University.

I am passionate about helping every student succeed and tailor my lessons according to their individual needs. Having also taught A level content to students in year 9 as part of outreach events, I believe that I have the necessary skills needed to teach and help students understand maths and physics and do well in exams.

My main focus is to help students grasp the underlying mathematical and theoretical concepts rather than just teaching them to answer questions. This is a valuable skill that will help them across all subjects they are studying and will help them gain confidence in learning. I tailor my lessons to the individual needs of students and have also worked with students that have learning disabilities so I know how to help a range of people thrive in their studies.
