I am a passionate, marine conservationist looking to teach anyone who is interested in the ocean and/or nature

Hello! My name is Emily. I have a bachelors degree in Marine Biology from the University of Essex, UK. I’m passionate about education, exploration, and helping others discover the world around them. I’ve spent 5 years teaching both in the classroom and underwater as a certified scuba diving instructor. Working face to face with students from all walks of life has taught me to be patient, adaptable, and encouraging, all skills which I bring to every learning environment.

My background in marine science and conservation deeply influences my teaching philosophy. I love sharing my knowledge of the ocean and our planet’s ecosystems, inspiring curiosity and respect for the natural world. Whether it’s explaining complex scientific ideas or guiding someone through a new skill, I believe learning should always be engaging, hands-on, and rewarding.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy nature, and traveling to coastal destinations. These experiences continually fuel my passion for both education and environmental stewardship. I love to teach older children and adults, I can’t wait to meet you or your child in class and help them succeed and build confidence in learning English.
