Advert description
I have teaching experience both abroad and here in the states. I have a master's degree in leadership and a bachelor's degree in special education. I am extremely patient and very creative. My most successful student is now in the border patrol. Others are store managers, nurses, and college professors.
I live vicariously through my students, and I would love to make a difference in your life as well. I love working with ESL students, especially in grammar. Additionally, I enjoy teaching English, preferably essay writing. My math skills are impeccable; I can teach all levels up through high school.
English is my native language; however, I am also completely fluent in Haitian Creole and I have some beginning French language skills. I lived abroad for 20 years and I started my own school in Haiti. It is bilingual -- English and French and it serves nearly 300 students ages 2 to 14. I founded it for my 2 children over 30 years ago, and now my daughter is the director.
I would love to make a difference in your life. My lessons are tailored to your specific needs and I practice the philosophy of "Try Another Way" by Dr. Marc Gold. This method is extremely effective when dealing with subjects that are problematic. Whatever it takes, I will help you accomplish your goals.
