Medical student at Kings College London - 7 years of tutoring experience and SEN teaching in Maths, Science and humanities (all exam boards)

My lessons are greatly based on the student. Once I use the first lesson to get to know and analyse their weaknesses/strengths, I make a plan together to work towards goals. I teach them to understand, rather than to memorise. I make my students aware that the lessons are tailored to them, so if there is anything they want to change, they can let me know. Many students struggle with confidence, so it is important that we work with exam practice as well as self-confidence. We learn the content and then use practice papers to use the knowledge we have learnt.
