Experienced KS2 Teacher | Daytime Maths Tuition for Years 3–6

Hi, I’m Emma! I’m an experienced KS2 teacher with 10 years of classroom experience, including Year 6, and I offer calm, supportive 1:1 maths tuition for pupils in Years 3–6.

I particularly enjoy helping pupils who feel unsure about maths to develop confidence and a secure understanding of the fundamentals. I believe that struggling with a concept doesn't mean you can't do it. Sometimes it simply needs to be explained in a different way, broken down into manageable steps or revisited without pressure.

Lessons are tailored to each pupil's needs and learning style. I take time to identify gaps and misconceptions, revisit prior learning and make connections between different areas of maths. We work through examples together, practise new skills and gradually build towards independent application, so pupils understand not just what to do, but why.

I offer daytime tuition and particularly welcome enquiries from home-educated and flexi-schooled pupils, as well as pupils who would benefit from additional support outside the classroom.

My aim is for every pupil to leave a lesson feeling that maths is something they can understand and succeed at.
