An economics postgrad who loves teaching, looking to help GCSE and younger students feel confident in maths and economics.

I've been teaching for a while now, and it's something I truly enjoy. Back home in India, I taught economics, maths and English and gave private tutoring, so I've worked with students of different ages and learning styles. While doing my master's, I also tutored students in India online, which taught me how to keep lessons clear, friendly and engaging even through a screen. Academically, I have a BA in Economics from St Teresa's College, India, and I'm finishing my MSc in Development Economics at the University of Exeter. I know the subjects well, but more importantly, I know how it feels to find them tricky, and I remember which explanations actually helped me. My approach is simple. I start by finding out where you are and where you want to be. Then I break tricky topics into small, easy steps, use real-life examples so the ideas stick, and give you lots of practice without the pressure. For GCSE students, that means building strong foundations, working through exam-style questions together and sharing tips for showing your working and managing your time in the exam. I go at your pace, and I'm happy to go back over something a third time. No question is a silly one in my lessons.
