Native Japanese Teacher | GCSE, A-Level, IB, JLPT, Conversation & Pronunciation

I am a native Japanese teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience in the UK and Japan, teaching children, teenagers and adults from complete beginner to advanced level.

I offer personalised online lessons for:

• General Japanese and everyday conversation
• GCSE, A-Level and IB Japanese
• JLPT preparation (N5–N1)
• Natural pronunciation and Japanese pitch accent
• Grammar, reading, writing and kanji
• Business Japanese

One of my particular strengths is helping students speak natural Japanese — not simply grammatically correct Japanese. I work on pronunciation, rhythm and pitch accent, as well as practical conversation skills that you can use in real situations.

I have taught Japanese in UK schools and language institutions and have extensive experience preparing students for examinations. I also have experience as a GCSE Japanese Speaking Examiner.

Lessons are tailored to your level, goals and learning style. Whether you are starting Japanese for the first time, preparing for an examination, improving your speaking skills, or already at an advanced level and want to sound more natural, I will design lessons around what you need.
