Mutsumi Abe

I offer online Japanese lessons for learners of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced students. I have experience teaching a wide range of learners, including children, university students, and adults, for various purposes such as holiday learning, exam preparation, and long-term study.

A key strength of my teaching is a strong focus on pronunciation. I help students understand and produce natural Japanese sounds, rhythm, and intonation, which are often difficult to master without clear guidance from a native speaker. Accurate pronunciation builds confidence and improves overall communication skills at every level.

My regular lessons are usually 60 or 90 minutes long and are designed for structured, in-depth learning. These classes include speaking practice, listening, grammar support, and practical expressions and cultural information used in real-life Japanese communication.

In addition, I offer a special Winter Holiday Intensive Course, consisting of five 30-minute online sessions. This short-format course is designed specifically to help new students experience my teaching style in a focused and approachable way. It is ideal for those who want to try Japanese for the first time, refresh the basics, or fit learning into a busy holiday schedule.

All lessons are conducted online via Zoom in a supportive and professional learning environment. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals, and pace, and I encourage active participation in every session.
