Jakki has been an excellent tutor for my son, to help him get on track during his GCSE's. He has really improved with her help, and has a much better understanding of the texts and how to answer exam questions.

Jakki tutored my son in preparation for his GCSE English. My son was struggling in Year 10 and was feeling quite negative about his abilities. However, from the first lesson, Jakki boosted his confidence and made him feel like he was capable of doing well in a subject that he had always thought was beyond him. She highlighted specific areas for improvement (using mock exam feedback from his teacher) and showed him how to gain points on each question. His grade increased from an estimated 4 to an estimated 6/7 by the time his exams came around. As a tutor, Jakki is patient and has the experience to tailor her sessions to suit an individual's needs. I would highly recommend her and feel that the money we paid was well-spent.
