I am very interested and excited to teach English as I have done English literature at Alevels as-well! I would like to keep a diary of each section of the spec which cover and make sure that by the end of it, my students can explain each part of the spec. My lessons will be taught according to their spec and I will leave the beginning just to talk about how they have been experiencing English so far. Hopefully with my lessons, they will find the subject extremely interesting! I would also like to go through their homework for the subject and talk to them about how they plan on completing each section. I do not plan on handing out answers until my student is extremely stuck, this is because I want my students to know i believe in them. And with a small push they will get to understand the work that is set for them on their own. So, I would suggest beginning each lesson with a friendly conversation and understanding of where they are at with English, and move forward to a lesson on that topic, to then move forward with their homework. I also plan on setting a small task per session for them to complete in their own time for us to discuss by the next lesson together. The task I set will be according to the struggles my students face in English so that over a period of time they find the topics they fear, a lot easier.
