Advert description
Hi, I'm Jonas! I am currently finishing a BSc (Hons) in Computing Science and Business & Management at the University of Glasgow. I love technology and have a true passion for teaching. Whether you are a parent looking to introduce your child to coding, a high schooler prepping for exams, or a university freshman tackling complex programming concepts, I can tailor my lessons to fit your exact needs!
I have extensive experience teaching and mentoring across a wide range of age groups:
- Children & Young Teens: I have worked as a supervisor assisting primary school children with their homework and as a substitute teacher for students aged 12 to 16. I know how to make learning engaging, accessible, and fun for younger minds.
- High Schoolers: I have years of experience as a freelance tutor for Higher Secondary students, helping them build academic confidence and improve their grades.
- University Freshmen: I currently act as a Peer Mentor at the University of Glasgow's School of Computing , where my specific role is to guide new students through their studies and help them establish strong academic foundations.
Depending on your age and goals, my lessons cover:
- For Beginners (Kids & Teens): Introduction to computing logic, basic Python programming , and building your first web pages with HTML/CSS.
- For High School & Uni Freshmen: Deep dives into Java, Python, C, and SQL. I can also help you master core university modules like Data Structures & Algorithms, Object-Oriented Design, and Software Engineering.
Location: I am currently offering flexible online lessons. Starting in September, I will also be available for in-person tutoring in Glasgow.
Languages: I am highly proficient and happy to conduct lessons in English , French or German.
