Daytime online Maths Teacher

I am a highly experienced Mathematics teacher and education professional specialising in the Scottish secondary curriculum, including BGE, National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Mathematics.
I have over 30 years of experience across Scottish education, including 12 years as a Principal Teacher of Mathematics and 3 years as a Depute Head Teacher. Throughout my teaching career, I have taught Mathematics across the full secondary age range and at all National Qualification levels.
My wider experience includes working as a Qualification Design Consultant with the SQA, collaborating with the University of Strathclyde to improve the teaching of Statistics in Scottish secondary schools, and working as an Associate Tutor on the Initial Teacher Education programme at the University of Glasgow.
I also spent four and a half years as an HMIE School Inspector, giving me a detailed understanding of effective learning, teaching, attainment in the Scottish education system.
I currently teach Mathematics online through e-Sgoil, Scotland’s national online learning provision, supporting young people including those experiencing interrupted or disengaged education.
My particular expertise is in helping pupils develop a secure understanding of Mathematics and the confidence to apply their knowledge successfully.
