Advert description
I am a second year Bsc Computer Science (Information Security) student at Royal Holloway, passionate about inspiring the next generation of learners in computer science.
With a strong academic foundation in the subject (achieving an average of 83.75% across my first year of university) and experience running a computer science club where I mentored a group of students between ages 11-15, I am eager to share my knowledge and help students achieve their full potential.
What I lack in past tutoring experience, I make up for with unique insights into both the GCSE and A level computer science experience, thanks to having gone through the same experience more recently than many other tutors
I have a proven ability to break down challenging concepts into accessible, engaging explanations, showcased in my Extended Project Dissertation which involved a PowerPoint in which I presented complicated concepts to an unfamiliar audience, from which I achieved an A
I understand the importance of adapting my teaching approach to meet individual student needs, and my proven problem-solving skills enable me to help students overcome obstacles with patience and clarity, building confidence alongside competence.
With a genuine enthusiasm for computer science, I am committed to making the subject approachable and exciting, helping students not only improve their grades but also develop a deeper appreciation for the logic and creativity this discipline offers.
