I have Masters and a Postgraduate Certificate in teaching. I was a teacher for 30 years at higher secondary and tertiary level, spending 10 years teaching at an international school in Belgium and later at secondary level in Hong Kong. I have also written more than a dozen grammar and exam textbooks of which the majority are still on sale in Hong Kong. My teaching style is based very much on interactive communication, improving students' self confidence and motivation. I can also help students with their spoken English and also provide elocution lessons. I am available to teach online. Thanks for reading.

Wai Chee Steven Wong in a nutshell

I was an English, history and economics teacher for 30 years before retiring. I am also author of more than a dozen textbooks, having written for Oxford University Press and two other publishers in Hong Kong. I have just completed writing another 3 books on listening, writing and reading comprehension. I have worked in international schools, business universities and state secondary. I was head of history for 8 years and also head of English for another seven.

My teaching is very hands on, and interactive as i know that understanding the students, needs, strengths and weaknesses help me determine which specific paths are best to reach their goals. I have always throughout my teaching career able to connect with my students as my cultural awareness and background are primary in creating excellent working relationships. Thank you for reading!
