I give private maths lessons aimed at school children that can be tailored to your child’s needs

My approach to teaching is usually by walking through one or two examples with the child and noticing the particular parts that they don’t understand and trying to explain them either by using the context of the example or different analogies that I like to tailor to the child’s interests for more engagement. I then think it is helpful to let them get on with a few questions of their own and let them know that I am available if they have any questions or queries. I find that after doing the examples a few times with them they get the hang of it and are really good at just getting on with the questions supplied and it also helps them to become more confident in class as it becomes a familiar way.
