When it comes to Mathematics, I like to start each new topic with a clear, step-by-step explanation before moving into worked examples together. Once the concept is understood, I introduce practice questions of increasing difficulty so that students build confidence gradually rather than feeling overwhelmed.
I firmly believe that mathematical success always starts with confidence. Many students struggle not because of a lack of ability, but because of exam anxiety and the fear of making mistakes. My first priority is always to create a patient, supportive environment where no question is too small and no mistake is something to be ashamed of. Once a student feels safe to ask and to try, real progress follows naturally.
For exam preparation, I focus heavily on past papers and mark schemes, teaching students exactly what examiners are looking for and how to pick up every available mark under time pressure.
