Advert description
Hi! I’m Rishita, a postgraduate student currently pursuing my LLM in Corporate Law at the University of Edinburgh. English has always been my favourite language and an important part of my academic journey. My entire schooling was conducted in English, and I then completed my five-year BA LLB (Hons.) in India, where my entire legal education was also conducted in English. Studying law for five years involved extensive reading, research, academic writing, presentations, discussions and drafting, which significantly strengthened my vocabulary, grammar, written communication, reading comprehension and ability to express complex ideas clearly. Because I have studied in English throughout my education, I have developed a natural familiarity and confidence with the language. I genuinely enjoy reading, writing and communicating in English, and this is one of the main reasons I would love to help other students develop the same confidence and enjoyment. As a tutor, I believe English should be approachable and enjoyable rather than something students feel nervous about. I take a patient and encouraging approach and adapt my lessons to each student's level, learning style and goals. I can help with grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, comprehension, speaking and general communication skills. You can expect me to be friendly, organised and supportive, while also taking your academic goals seriously. I encourage students to ask questions, practise freely and learn from mistakes without feeling judged. My aim is not only to help students improve their academic performance, but also to make them more confident and comfortable using English in everyday life.
