Advert description
My teaching approach is centred around making art enjoyable, encouraging experimentation and helping students develop their own creative style. I would adapt each lesson to the student’s ability, interests and goals, whether they want to improve their drawing, painting, mixed media or simply become more confident creatively. From my own experience working across different materials and techniques, including watercolour, acrylic, ink, charcoal, coloured pencil, screen painting and glass painting, I understand that there is no single way to make good art. I would encourage students to experiment with different processes while teaching practical skills such as observation, composition, colour and developing ideas. My experience at Pinewood Film Studios has also taught me the importance of communication, teamwork and problem solving, which I would bring into my lessons. Most importantly, I want students to feel comfortable making mistakes, trying new things and developing work they are genuinely proud of.
