My lessons are relaxed, friendly and tailored to each student’s interests, ability and goals. I want art to feel enjoyable while helping students develop practical skills and confidence in their own work.
I have experience working across a wide range of techniques and materials, including watercolour, acrylic, ink, charcoal, coloured pencil, oil paint, screen painting and glass painting. I’d encourage students to experiment with different processes and find the styles and techniques they enjoy most.
Lessons can focus on drawing, painting, colour, composition, developing ideas or creating a finished piece. I can also help students develop their portfolios and learn how to take an idea from initial sketches through to a final piece.
My experience working in the film industry has also helped me develop practical skills, creativity, communication, teamwork and problem-solving.
Most importantly, I want students to feel comfortable experimenting, making mistakes and developing their own creative voice.
