Hello, I’m Charlene. I’m an experienced professional, personal tutor and life coach with a genuine passion for helping people develop confidence, independence and practical skills that make a difference in their everyday life.
My background combines 20 years of professional experience in administration with a Master’s degree in Visual Arts. This has given me a broad perspective that brings together organisation, practical problem-solving, creativity and an understanding of the demands faced by adult learners and university students.
I take a supportive, patient and individualised approach to teaching and coaching. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I believe the most effective learning happens when you feel listened to, encouraged and able to work at a pace that suits you.
My sessions are relaxed, practical and focused on your individual goals. Whether you are looking to develop new skills, overcome a particular challenge or simply become more confident in your abilities, I aim to create a positive learning environment where you can make meaningful progress.
I can help learners develop practical administrative and organisational skills that can be applied in both academic and professional environments.
I offer supportive coaching in areas such as:
? Time management
? Task prioritisation
? Sequencing and planning
? Organisation and productivity
? Study skills
? Managing workloads and deadlines
? Developing confidence and independence
Rather than simply telling you what to do, I work with you to understand what is currently getting in the way and develop practical approaches that work for you.
University study can be challenging, particularly when you're balancing multiple assignments, deadlines and other commitments. I can help you develop effective approaches to planning your workload, breaking larger tasks into manageable steps, prioritising competing demands and creating realistic study routines.
I also support learners in Visual Arts, drawing on my academic background and Master’s degree in Visual Arts. I can provide guidance with essay writing, developing ideas, exploring creative processes, underpinning artistic practice and building confidence in your creative work.
I believe learning should be supportive, practical and individualised. Everyone has different strengths, challenges and ways of learning, so I adapt my sessions to suit your needs and goals.
My aim is to help you not only complete the task in front of you, but develop practical skills and tools that you can continue using independently.
If you’re looking for an experienced, patient and practical tutor who understands both academic and real-world professional environments, I’d be delighted to work with you.
