Advert description
About Me
I'm an incoming Modern Languages student at the University of Oxford. I am a native French speaker — having lived in Paris for close to five years — and speak with full fluency and no foreign accent. I achieved a 7/7 (the highest possible score) in IB Higher Level French A: Language & Literature, assessed at native-speaker level.
My experience:
- Voice actor for Oxford University Press French textbooks (including GCSE and KS3 titles)
- 1+ year of tutoring experience across GCSE, A-Level, and IB French
- Currently working as a French teacher at a multilingual preschool
- Incoming Oxford University Modern Languages student
- 7/7 in IB Higher Level French A Language and Literature
Who I Teach
I tutor students at all levels, including:
- KS2 wanting to learn French
- KS3 & GCSE French - building strong foundations in grammar, vocabulary, and confidence, as well as exam preparation
- A-Level & IB French — exam technique, literary analysis, oral preparation, and written coursework
- Conversational & spoken fluency — for students of any age wanting to sound natural
- University preparation — personal statements for Modern Languages and International Relations, and dedicated Oxbridge application support
How I Teach
Every student is different, so every course of lessons starts the same way: I identify your specific strengths and the areas holding you back, and build from there.
Lessons are fully tailored to you. Depending on what you need, we might work on spoken fluency and pronunciation, grammar and writing accuracy, reading comprehension, or the close analysis of texts and films. If your course requires a specific novel, film, or poem, I'll read or watch it before our session so I can guide you through it properly — not just generically.
I'm equally happy to support students applying to university, including crafting compelling personal statements and preparing for Oxbridge language interviews.
