I have taught French in person previously, which is my preference. I normally prepare my material on a coursework style, tailored to individual needs and wishes depending on what each student would like to get out of it. For much younger students (primary and below) the format is always more visual and can also be based on games, puzzles, songs and rhymes (sometimes online) according to age and parents' requests. For secondary school age students, I would offer support with existing coursework which can sometimes mean helping guide them through particularly challenging aspects of the language or grammar, alongside practising conversational French in preparation for oral exams.

For those wishing to learn for recreational and leisure purposes, I would provide magazines with parallel English/French text as well as offer conversational practice scenarios, to work towards their goals.

For beginners, I would start with basic grammar and elementary learning material, backed up with CD's or online audio French to get a feel for the language, both written and spoken. In every situation, I strive to make each lesson enjoyable, engaging and informative. I LOVE French, it's such a beautiful and fascinating language... and I offer the opportunity for anyone and everyone to experience its magnificence!!!
