I am a qualified and experienced native Spanish and English language teacher (EFL) with a wide range of skills and knowledge based on more than 22 years of practical experience teaching in Colombia, England and Costa Rica. I have taught students from diverse backgrounds, ages, and varying ability levels.

I hold a Bachelor of Education in Modern Languages: Spanish & English and a Higher degree: Postgraduate Degree. Specialist in Teaching Foreign Languages: English& Spanish. Besides, I have a MA Degree: Master of Arts in Bilingual Translation from the University of Westminster in London.

I am passionate about teaching languages. My teaching experience abroad has allowed me to meet and interact with a wide range of students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. I love sharing with my students the knowledge I have gained from different cultures during my years living overseas and in Colombia and motivating them to better understand the purpose and benefits of learning a foreign language as a communicative tool. I have also developed various skills that have positively influenced my teaching methodologies and teaching approaches.

I like to inspire my students, get them interested in learning Spanish and appreciate its value as a powerful tool to gain knowledge and understand its interaction with other fields. I like to make sure my students feel comfortable from the first class and enjoy learning the new language. Furthermore, I always encourage them to try harder, persevere, challenge themselves and achieve the best results.
