Claudia Pineros

My name is Claudia Liliana Pineros. I am a qualified and experienced native Spanish-speaking language teacher with a wide range of skills and knowledge, based on over 20 years of practical experience teaching languages in Colombia, England, and Costa Rica.
During my teaching career, I have taught students from diverse backgrounds, ages, and varying ability levels.

I am passionate about teaching languages, and I enjoy motivating my students to learn Spanish by explaining the purpose and benefits of learning a foreign language as a means of communication.

The learning process is essentially emotional; therefore, the relationship between teacher and students is of utmost importance. I always ensure my students feel comfortable from the first class, encouraging them to try harder, persevere, challenge themselves and achieve the best results. Considering the students' skills and needs, I adapt the teaching approach and materials required. As a language teacher, it is essential to highlight the students' efforts constantly and
progress through reassuring and positive words.

I have many years of experience teaching GCSE, IGCSE and A- level students online and in person, guiding and supporting them with the assessment preparation. I have worked with AQA and Edexcel Exam Boards.

I have been an online Spanish tutor since 2017. I have acquired skills in designing interactive material to support students' learning and help them improve their reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and conversational skills. I also assign activities online to facilitate students' consolidation of learning material and use various media tools and resources to assist students in their learning process. I am always willing to work with multiple modern language teaching techniques to support students' learning process.

Additionally, I am a hardworking, enthusiastic, highly motivated, committed,
determined and dedicated professional. I am a quick learner, used to handling high-pressure and tight deadlines.
