I am an experienced Mathematics tutor with a PhD in Mathematics and around 30 years of teaching experience, including approximately 16 years of private one-to-one tutoring

I teach Mathematics and Further Mathematics at National 5, GCSE/O-Level, Higher, A-Level, Advanced Higher and university level. My lessons are tailored to the individual student and focus on building both mathematical understanding and confidence.

I use clear explanations, worked examples, exam-style questions and past papers to identify gaps in knowledge and prepare students effectively for examinations. I also help students improve their exam technique, recognise common mistakes and become more confident tackling unfamiliar questions independently.

I work with students aiming for top grades as well as those who need additional support with the fundamentals.

Rates:
National 5 / GCSE / O-Level — £30 per hour
Higher / A-Level — £40 per hour
Advanced Higher — £50 per hour
University-level tuition — rate depends on the course and subject content.
