My name is Sylvia Veronica Anderson, and I am writing to express my interest in an Online English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher position at your company.
I am a TEFL-certified English teacher with over six years of experience teaching English both online and in person. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, teaching children as young as two years old through to teenagers and older learners.
I have experience teaching with international ESL programmes, including Tutlo in Poland, as well as working with students from different countries. These experiences have helped me develop the ability to adapt my teaching methods to different learning styles, proficiency levels, and individual student needs.
My qualifications and teaching experience include:
⦁ A 160-hour TEFL certificate, along with an additional 80-hour TEFL course.
⦁ Over six years of online and offline English teaching experience.
⦁ Experience teaching children, primary school learners, teenagers, and older students.
⦁ Experience teaching beginner and elementary English learners, including A0, A1, and A2 levels.
⦁ Experience teaching phonics, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
⦁ Familiarity with structured English-learning programmes, including Power Up, and the development of interactive lesson materials and assessments.
My teaching philosophy centres on creating a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable practising English and building their confidence. I am an energetic, patient, and creative teacher who enjoys incorporating educational games, songs, storytelling, videos, and interactive activities into lessons.
I particularly enjoy working with young learners and helping them develop a strong foundation in English. I also enjoy teaching teenagers and adapting lessons to suit students' individual goals, abilities, and interests.
