Native Japanese tutor and qualified teacher with 5 years of teaching experience in Japan

Hello! I’m a native Japanese speaker and a qualified teacher from Japan, currently living in London.

I worked as an English teacher at a public junior high school in Japan for five years. I also have three years of experience working at an English conversation school and tutoring school, where I taught students ranging from primary school age to high school.

Although I am new to teaching Japanese as a foreign language, I have extensive experience working with children and teenagers in education. I am confident in adapting my teaching to each student’s age, personality and learning pace.

As a teacher, I have always valued listening carefully to my students, understanding their individual needs, and building trusting relationships through patient communication. I also worked closely with other teachers and parents to support each student’s learning and development.

I would be happy to support beginners learning Japanese, children and teenagers who would like to practise Japanese, or Japanese-speaking children who would like to maintain and develop their Japanese language skills.

I am currently based in London and can offer lessons in person or online.
