I delivered a lesson according to the students' needs

I believe I meet the requirements for the position of Business and Economics teacher through a combination of subject expertise, examination experience, and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. I have taught Business and Economics at secondary level, including candidate classes, where I have supported students in preparing for external examinations. This has enabled me to develop a strong understanding of syllabus requirements, effective exam techniques, and strategies to help learners achieve their full potential.In addition, I serve as an examiner for both Cambridge and Pearson examination boards for Economics (Grades 11–13). This role has provided me with valuable insight into assessment objectives, mark schemes, and common student misconceptions. As a result, I am able to tailor my teaching to meet examination standards, improve student performance, and develop higher-order skills such as analysis and evaluation. I am also well-versed in modern pedagogical approaches, including student-centred learning, differentiated instruction, and the use of active learning strategies. I aim to create engaging and inclusive classroom environments where learners are encouraged to think critically, apply knowledge to real-world contexts, and become independent learners. I integrate a variety of teaching methods such as case studies, data response analysis, collaborative learning, and technology-enhanced instruction to cater for diverse learning needs. Beyond academic teaching, I contribute to the wider school community through involvement in co-curricular activities, including environmental initiatives, entrepreneurship, and student support programmes. These experiences have strengthened my ability to support holistic student development and foster skills such as leadership, teamwork, and responsibility.
