Enthusiastic medical student offering support with GCSE and A-level Maths

Advert description
Dear A-level and GCSE students,

Studying during a global pandemic certainly came with many challenges, namely independent learning, self-motivation, and resilience. As a result, I’ve learnt to translate complex concepts into a more comprehensible form which has gained me A*A*AA at A-level, fulfilling my dream to study Medicine at Imperial College London! So here I am today as a first-year medical student excited to share my strategies with you and help you achieve success.

So now, a little bit about me. I’m originally from Algeria, although I was born and raised in the UK. I have undertaken various volunteering roles as a pharmacy assistant and a sales assistant in a charity shop. This year I also had the opportunity to work part-time as an afterschool care assistant with young children. These have been fantastic experiences for me as I enjoy interacting with people, but more importantly I have developed a range of transferrable skills which I will implement as a tutor. For example, being patient, organised and communicative. Aside from the academics, I thoroughly enjoy doing sports and I have a passion for baking.

Read on to find out a little bit about the lessons:

My aim is to deliver sessions that are enjoyable and interactive, whilst also supporting you to achieve the best possible results. I have previously tutored a student in GCSE Biology and Chemistry, so I have experience in lesson preparation and delivering content in an accessible way to my student.

Our first session will mainly involve discussing your current level, identifying your targets and establishing a learning style suited to your needs.

Over the course of the year, we will be incorporating the techniques below to ensure a solid understanding of the subject:
- making connections between topics
- a focus on exam technique
- active recall and spaced repetition

Lessons at GCSE and A-level- typically last 1 hour, however I am flexible so please feel free to get in touch to discuss other options.

Can't wait to meet you!
